Enjoy Spring Riding at the Red Mountain Horse Ranch

At Red Horse Mountain, the horse is front and center. We start by matching you with one of our horses. You can choose from scenic, all day, or family rides. But not all rides are your typical dude style, nose to tail rides! If you so desire to ask, and your wrangler thinks the horse and you are ready, get ready for a thrilling Rocky Mountain Adventure! Kick it up a notch” for true exhilaration. Your well being and our horse’s is priority number 1.

You’ll have 300,000 acres, miles of trails, a knowledgeable wrangler, a trusty horse, and the ability to go wherever your skills can take you! Even the kids have their own trail rides. The first ride will be kept at a walk, to make sure you match your horse well. After that, its up to your wrangler and your group’s skill levels. Every morning the wranglers have your horse saddled and waiting for you when you decide to ride. The wranglers will make sure you are comfortable and properly equipped before you get on your horse. If you need a few pointers, don’t hesitate to ask your wrangler for a little help. Please remember that your safety and the horses’ safety are always kept in mind. On hot summer days, you may have to give your horse a rest.

We have a variety of riding trails, all of which leave the valley floor and climb into the surrounding hillsides and all rides will progress at the discretion of the wrangler and your riding ability. Enjoy riding through pastures, along wide trails, on open hillsides and through narrow, wooded paths.  We recommend you bring your camera.  Each scenic trail ride will last between 2-4 hours. Please let us know beforehand of anything and we’ll work with to make sure you feel comfortable. You will be surprised with what you and your trusty horse can accomplish!
