Rogue Valley Medical Center (RVMC), located in Medford, is the regional referral center for nine counties in southern Oregon and northern California. RVMC is the flagship facility of Asante Health System, which includes Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass, Hearthstone extended care center in Medford, Genesis in Central Point, and other healthcare partnerships throughout the region. A dedicated staff, advanced technologies, modern facilities and strong relationships with medical professionals have kept RVMC in the forefront of cardiovascular treatment, joint replacement surgery, cancer care and a number of other vital medical specialties.

Through RVMC’s commitment to providing specialized services, more members of our community receive the care they need right here—close to home:

- The only hospital on the West Coast to be recognized five times as one of the nation’s 100 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals, RVMC excels in diagnostic and surgical treatment and has an exceptional cardiac rehabilitation program.

- Interventional cardiologist Brian Gross, M.D., has been instrumental in creating a unique partnership to reduce the time between the onset of an acute cardiac event and its treatment. Acute ST Segment Elevation Task Force (ASSET) is a quick-response program among five hospitals and multiple emergency services from nine counties to immediately route suspected cardiac patients directly to the RVMC Emergency Department. The program has been successful in producing one of the lowest cardiac mortality rates in the country.

- RVMC has the only dedicated joint replacement facility in our region, providing the latest in computer-assisted navigation surgery technology and minimally invasive techniques that shorten hospital stays and speed recoveries.

- Offering the latest in oncology treatments at Dubs Cancer Center, RVMC is the only hospital in the Rogue Valley to provide a certified nurse breast health coordinator. And a partnership with Oregon Health & Science University allows women with gynecologic cancer to have local access to a nationally renowned gynecologic oncologist.

- RVMC provides southern Oregon’s only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the area’s only perinatologist helping women with high-risk pregnancies.

- The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations awarded Primary Stroke Center certification to RVMC, making it the only hospital in the region to earn the Gold Seal of Approval™ for exceeding national standards and guidelines that improve outcomes for stroke patients.
