Board Certified as both a Plastic Surgeon and a General Surgeon, Dr. Lovich has performed thousands of operations during his medical career. In fact, he is nearing his 1000th breast reduction surgery and estimates that he has performed breast augmentation for over 500 women. In his practice he also commonly receives referrals for facelifts, eyelid surgery, tummy tucks and liposuction. In addition, Dr. Lovich treats many patients with Botocx and Restalyne injections.
Restalyne fills the wrinkles in the skin to soften the effect of aging while Botox relaxes the underlying muscles beneath the skin that can cause wrinkling. Both of these injections, either individually or together, leave positive results, that last between six and eight months. People are particularly drawn to these treatments because they can be performed in the office with minimal down time and they do an excellent job in providing a subtle, yet positive, improvement.
While people choose Plastic Surgery for different reasons, some to blend in and others to stand out, Dr. Lovich believes that all results look best when natural and not too dramatic. As a result he has become known for using techniques that soften the effects of aging on the face and body rather than leaving a patient looking significantly changed. “The best reports I hear are patients who say friends have commented on how well they look but cant’s really tell exactly what has been done. By retaining a natural look, they don’t have people asking them what they had done, but instead offer compliments that they look healthy or well rested.”
Dr. Lovich performs surgery at Ashland Community Hospital, Providence Medical Center, Rogue Valley Medical Center and the Ashland Surgery Center. He operates on approximately 850 people per year. Some are returning clients, while others desire only a single procedure or treatment. Either way, Dr. Lovich is a perfectionist who maintains a focus on minimizing risks and down time. He declines to do extensive makeovers, preferring a stepwise approach. However, he will combine localized procedures. For example it is not uncommon for a patient to undergo both a breast augmentation with a tummy tuck during one operation or combine an eyelid lift in conjunction with a facelift. “My primary goal is safety and to do everything possible to ensure a smooth post-operative course.”
Dr. Lovich resides in Ashland with his wife and three young daughters. They all enjoy country living in the beautiful Rogue Valley. ■
