The Warmth of Our Hands Can Cure!
Massage addresses many areas of health. Not only can massage relax the body, calm the mind and heal the spirit; massage also increases circulation, restores muscle flexibility, increases range of motion, and expedites oxygenated blood cells to injured muscle tissues to speed healing and relieve pain.
Plus, it just plain feels good and is good for you to have another caring human being touch you in a safe, ethical and calming manner.
While many people think of a day spa as a “girly” place, you might be surprised to know that 40% of our regular clientele are men. Many male clients are into regular exercise, weight lifting and training. Massage helps them to maintain their flexibility, relieve sore muscles and recover from injuries. Our clients come from all walks of life; some are contractors, law enforcement, business people, and domestic engineers.
Many of our daily activities in modern society require us to be in positions that are not anatomically correct. This leads to chronic pain caused by postural inadequacies. As an example, driving a car causes a person to hold the hands and arms in a position that adds stress to the upper back muscles by overstretching them and contracting chest muscles. After driving for just a few minutes, these muscles begin to fatigue and start recruiting other muscles, (i.e. neck muscles, jaw muscles, shoulder and arm muscles) to assist in the action. So after a 4 hour drive without a break or stretching, you can see why your body may ache and feel sore.
Our therapists have been trained on how our bodies were designed to work and the postures that best enable movement with the least amount of wear and tear. By simple observation we may be able to help you identify why you may have pain and also refer you to a doctor if need be.
If you have never had a massage, I encourage you to try it. If you have never been to Therapeutic Touch, please try us, you will notice a difference the minute you walk in our door. We have been in Medford, Oregon serving the local community for over 20 years. Our experience and service speak for themselves.
