Moto Guzzi Delivers Techno Custom Motorcycle

With only a year in the U.S. market, Moto Guzzi has revved things up with its new Griso 1100, a high-performance motorcycle that features modern engineering and design. The Griso 1100 is in a class of its own, having retained its Italian roots while incorporating a completely redesigned feel with heightened performance.

The motorcycle’s slim, streamlined frame complements its Italian racing heritage. Its upgraded engine and fuel tank also help to reduce emissions and consumption.

“For the last 85 years, motorcycle enthusiasts have looked to Moto Guzzi for outstanding European motorcycle design and technical engineering,” said Paolo Timoni, CEO and president of Moto Guzzi USA. “The Griso is a distinctive machine, a masterpiece of design and a source of absolute riding pleasure”

Europeans call this new category of motorcycle “Techno Custom.” This term fits the Griso 1100 because the machine delivers a unique, state-of-the-art riding experience. Some refer to the Moto Guzzi as a power cruiser. Others call it a muscle bike. But either way, the Griso 1100 gives riders the thrill and the performance they look for in today’s two-wheeled transportation models.

The Griso is available in Corsa red, the color of the legendary Moto Guzzi racing bikes. It also comes in classic black. With twin cylinders and electronic injection, it is fuel-efficient and eco-friendly. The new 1100 cc power unit incorporates innovative technical advances which increase power and decrease noise and maintenance levels. Its twin spark ignition and fuel injectors combine to deliver perfect combustion and consistent high performance. The exhaust system, with its twin header pipes, stainless steel triple chamber silencer and aluminum end plate also contributes to the unique character of the engine.moto_mid3.jpg

The new patented CA.R.C. Compact Reactive Drive Shaft system for the Griso 1100 integrates the drive shaft inside the aluminum alloy swing arm to guarantee smoothness and precision. The system delivers precise and jerk-free power, and eliminates the anti-shaft effect associated with conventional shaft drives. The motorcycle also features an advanced braking system and high-performance tires fitted on hollow, three-spoke, aluminum alloy wheels.

Moto Guzzi, one of Europe’s oldest continuous manufacturers of motorcycles, was founded in 1921 on the shores of Lake Como in the village of Mandello del Lario, Italy, where the motorcycles are still manufactured today. ¦
